How to Make a White Shell Wreath

Seashell wreaths bring a touch of the sea into your home. Unpack all your boxes of shells collected from trips to the ocean and relax while you create a stunning shell wreath and reflect back on your happy vacation memories. Use scallop shells, clam shells, cockles, pectens, small conch shells, turbans, murex shells, augers, bonnet shells, apple snails, cowrie shells, dove shells, turris shells and more. Shell wreaths can be made in oval, square, round and rectangle. There are numerous types of bases available for constructing a shell wreath, including natural grapevine, orchard grapevine, wood, rattan twig, metal wire, straw and foam.
Supplies Needed.
1) Wooden Wreath Frame made out of Engineered Wood.
2) Glue Gun or Craft Glue (Follow Manufacturers' Safety Instruction)
3) 4" Great Scallop Baking Shells (Our SKU #66-3-24040)
4) Assorted White Seashells (Our SKU #CSP-10W)
5) Picture hanger
Instructions:
1) Use picture hangers and attach one to the back of the wooden wreath frame where you want the top of the wreath to be.
2) Lay out your wreath on a flat surface exactly as you want it to look. It is best to lay it out first. If you are using a glue gun, it is very difficult to remove the shells if you decide you don't like how it looks. Craft glue gives you a lot more time to move around your shells.
3) Start with the Great Scallop Shells and glue them down onto the wooden wreath frame. Do not leave any gaps between the shells and do not allow them to overlap. Keep in mind where you put the hanger as that will be the top of your wreath.
4) Group white shells of similar sizes together between each scallop shell to create a harmonious look.
Your wreath is completed and ready for display. If you created a holiday wreath, try using clear spray glitter to add sparkle.
If you aren't crafty, no problem, we have a wide selection of shell wreaths you can purchase. Check out those listed below.
